The 9-inch prototype numerals are authentic for Smith loco cabsides, Cumming tender backs, coach sides and later gangway ends. Four-inch HRs are for coach sides and are correctly-spaced for the close-spaced style, and may also be used on earlier gangway ends. The 7-inch HRs are for Drummond loco bufferbeams, again correctly spaced. The 9-inch versions are correct for Drummond and Smith locos and tenders, coach sides and later gangway ends. The 12-inch size is correct for Cumming locos and tenders. Check your chosen prototype, as ever!
